Privacy Policy
Effective September 3, 2026
Zignin is built and operated by Roberto Pelayo, a practicing real estate agent, as an individual rather than a company. This policy explains how information is handled in Zignin, an iOS app for real estate agents. It covers the app and this website.
Zignin is used by agents to host open houses, collect visitor sign ins, organize leads, and track their own business. Because of that, some of the information in Zignin is about you, and some of it is about the people who sign in at your open houses. Both are described below. If you have a question after reading it, the support page is the fastest route to a person.
1Information we collect
Zignin collects information in three ways: information you give us, information an open house visitor gives you through the app, and limited technical information created when the app is used.
Information you provide
- Agent profile information you enter
- Account and sign in credentials, if you choose to create an account
- Property and open house information
- Notes you write on a lead
- Commission and closing information you record
- Business performance information you record
- Photos you select from your library or capture with the camera
Information collected from open house visitors
- Visitor and lead names
- Visitor and lead email addresses
- Visitor and lead phone numbers
- Visitor responses to the sign in questions
- Lead stage or status you assign
Information created by using the app
Product analytics events describing how the app is used, and purchase and entitlement information related to your subscription.
2How we use information
We use information to:
- Provide the Zignin app and its features
- Run open house hosting sessions and the visitor sign in kiosk
- Organize your leads and show your session recaps
- Maintain your Collection, XP, progress, and Earnings records
- Provide account functionality when you create an account
- Deliver and restore subscription access
- Understand how the app is used so it can be improved
- Respond to support requests
- Meet legal obligations and protect the service from misuse
Zignin does not sell personal information. Zignin does not use open house visitor information for advertising.
3Lead and visitor information
When a visitor signs in at your open house, they are providing their information to you, the hosting agent. Zignin captures and organizes that information so you can follow up.
As the agent, you decide what questions to ask, and you are responsible for handling the information you collect in line with the laws and professional obligations that apply to you, including any real estate, brokerage, marketing, and communication rules in your area. If a visitor asks you to remove their information, you can delete the lead in the app.
4Device permissions
Zignin may ask for the following. Each one is optional and can be changed in iOS Settings.
- Camera. To capture property, profile, and branding imagery.
- Photo library. To select existing images for property, profile, and branding use.
- Notifications. To deliver app reminders and agent facing notifications.
Declining a permission may limit the related feature but does not block the rest of the app.
5Subscriptions and purchases
Zignin Pro is sold as an auto renewing subscription through the Apple App Store. Apple processes the purchase and handles billing. Zignin does not receive or store your payment card details.
Zignin uses RevenueCat to process subscription entitlement and purchase related information so the app knows whether your subscription is active.
6Analytics
Zignin uses PostHog for product analytics. These events describe how the app is used, which helps identify problems and decide what to build next. Analytics are not used for advertising.
The Zignin website currently runs no advertising trackers and sets no advertising cookies.
7Data storage
Some Zignin data can exist locally on your device. If you create an account, account backed data may be stored in the cloud through Supabase, which provides authentication and data storage for Zignin.
Because some information can live only on your device, removing the app from a device can remove data that was never backed by an account.
8Data sharing and service providers
Zignin currently uses service providers including Supabase, RevenueCat, Apple, and PostHog for the purposes described below.
- Supabase. Backend, authentication, and cloud backed application data.
- RevenueCat. Subscription management and entitlement handling.
- Apple. iOS platform, App Store distribution, subscription purchases, billing, renewals, refunds, and related App Store services.
- PostHog. Product analytics.
Information may also be disclosed if required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of users and the service. Zignin does not sell personal information to third parties.
9External links and social media
Zignin maintains accounts on TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, X, and YouTube. These are places where Zignin posts.
Zignin does not share lead or visitor information with these social platforms merely because Zignin maintains accounts on those services. Links to third party social platforms are governed by those platforms' own privacy practices.
The Zignin website currently does not use Meta Pixel, TikTok Pixel, or similar social advertising trackers.
10Data retention
Information is kept while you use Zignin and while it is needed to provide the service. You can delete individual records such as leads and properties inside the app, and you can delete your account, which removes the account and its associated cloud data through the deletion process built into the app. Some records may be retained where required for legal, accounting, or fraud prevention purposes.
11Account deletion
If you are signed in, you can start deletion inside the app at Settings, then Account, then Delete Account. Deletion removes your Zignin account and the associated cloud data according to the deletion process implemented in the app.
Deleting your Zignin account does not automatically cancel your Apple subscription. Cancel the subscription separately in your Apple subscription settings.
12Children's privacy
Zignin is a professional tool for practicing real estate agents. It is not directed to children, and it is not intended for use by anyone under the age required to hold a real estate licence in their jurisdiction. If you believe a child has provided information through Zignin, contact us so it can be removed.
13Security
Zignin uses reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information, including the security controls provided by the services listed above. No app or service can promise perfect security, and Zignin does not claim end to end encryption. Protect your device with a passcode, and use agent PIN protection during open houses.
14Your choices
- Use Zignin without creating an account
- Grant or decline camera, photo library, and notification permissions in iOS Settings
- Delete individual leads, properties, and records inside the app
- Delete your account from Settings, then Account, then Delete Account
- Manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple subscription settings

15Changes to this policy
This policy may change as Zignin changes. When it does, the effective date at the top of the page is updated. Continuing to use Zignin after an update means the updated policy applies.
